facade of a building in a stormy night

2022, 2x 380x313cm, dye-sublimation on polyester

Two polyester textile banners hanging back to back in the exhibition space present a photoseries of an attempt to catch the lighting in a stormy night. On one side, the complete photoseries is shown, while on the other side, an extract of the series is presented, with a smaller time frame but with larger windows and more details becoming visible.

The pictures were taken inside an apartment with an open window, where the window frame is colored by the television light, adding another time layer to the artwork.
The view from inside to the outside creates many windows, forming a new monumental building. The viewer is invited to look into the window frames as if they were part of a building, a gaze from a home into the night sky translated into an architecture of time and voyeurism.
